BUDDY WALK® 2014 Will be held SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 20 from 10:00 to 1:00pm
Sertoma Park, Sioux Falls, SD.
The Buddy Walk® was created by the National Down Syndrome Society (NDSS) in 1995 to celebrate Down Syndrome Awareness Month and to promote acceptance and inclusion of people with Down syndrome.
The Buddy Walk® has grown from 17 walks in 1995 to nearly 300 walks planned for 2014 worldwide. In 2013, more than $12.2 million was raised nationwide to benefit local programs and services, as well as the national advocacy initiatives of NDSS that benefit all individuals with Down syndrome.

"I can't say enough for all of the hard work you all went through to make the day a success and would like to THANK YOU for putting this together!"
"The Buddy Walk® is always amazing… otherwise we wouldn't travel from Minnesota every year to attend! What we love the most is the friendly atmosphere, not only from the staff and sponsors, but the families especially; everyone is always relaxed and positive, and always willing to listen and lend a hand, if needed. We will continue supporting the New Directions' Buddy Walk® and its message!"
